Lemon cake with passion fruit curd and raspberry mascarpone buttercream ✨

This past Tuesday was my 32nd birthday, and in keeping with tradition, I made myself a birthday cake to celebrate. Given all the sadness and heaviness in the world right now, it only felt right to use the happiest and brightest flavors I could think of. The sponge is lemon, almost like a pound cake in texture, the filling is a bright passion fruit curd, and the frosting is a mascarpone buttercream flavored and colored with freeze dried raspberries. I’m hoping to have the recipe up for you soon!

I’ve added some photos of past birthday cakes going back to 2021 (starting from the 3rd slide). It’s fun to see the improvement in both my baking, and photography 🥰
